Ejerie Labs blends liberatory strategy and political education to increase the impact of grassroots movements. Founded by Ejeris Dixon in 2022, Ejerie Labs incubates social justice experiments for fighting rising fascism and building transformative and abolitionist futures.
Why Fascism, Abolition, and Transformative Justice?

Grassroots organizations confronting rising violent fascist movements are often disconnected from progressive base-building organizations focused on abolitionist strategies; yet there is a disconcerting tether between these worlds. The same leaders, opponents, and organizations that fund and lead MAGA victories, anti-abortion strategy, anti-Trans legislation, and white supremacist violence also use the Left’s messaging around abolition and community safety as a recruitment tool. Ejerie Labs ensures that the experiences and context of BIPOC Queer and Trans organizers are centered, while focusing on how our communities understand the political terrain and how to build liberatory strategy in the face of rising political repression and violence.
About Ejeris
Ejeris is a political strategist passionate about strengthening liberation movements and building community safety. Ejeris serves as the Fascism Barometer's "movement meteorologist," exploring the impact of fascist movements on communities of color, queer and trans communities, and all marginalized people. Having worked for the past twenty-five years at the intersections of racial justice, LGBTQ liberation, anti-violence, transformative justice, and economic justice movements, Ejeris focuses on creating political and strategic experiments to strengthen social justice movements through the organization Ejerie Labs. Over time, Ejeris has directly worked on thousands of incidents of violence and organized support for victims, survivors, and families of more than a hundred homophobic, transphobic, and racist murders. Ejeris is a co-editor of Beyond Survival: Stories and Strategies of the Transformative Justice Movement, which became a finalist for the Lambda Literary award in LGBTQ Anthology. Ejeris's writing, analysis, and organizing has been featured in Truthout Magazine, Rolling Stone, Huffington Post, SPIN Magazine, The New York Times, The New Yorker, NBC, CNN, Ms. Magazine, and The Nation.
